Being born and raised in Los Angeles and not having been to The Broad is crazy to me. SO I made way down to check it out. The commute wasn’t bad at all. From Culver City which is where I stay it wa one bus and two trains or for those of you with automobiles : a 25 min drive. The hills after getting there are a work out. Going up Grand Ave. in Steve Madden Roxanna boots… killer.
The building stands out, it’s hard to miss. Not only is it directly across from the Disney Hall; its honeycomb resemblance is easily spotted from down the block. Grand Ave. is a narrow street so it made it easy to walk right up to the museum.
Usually when I go places by myself I tend to get lost, however once I arrived there were museum attendants around every corner. Which was amazing because they would just direct you right where you needed to go, super helpful .
My first stop was Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Room. This was a really unique experience and I believe it’s definitely an addition you want to add to your LA bucket list. Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Room is free with advanced reservation.
