let me just stop and think

I want to try something different. It’s not something super extraordinary. No, no I just want to try writing about a random topic and do a legit rough draft all in one go. First I have to choose the topic I would want to know more about. Not only that, I suppose I would have to establish the point of the essay. Whatever I choose I will give myself about and hour to non stop read, watch videos, anything that could support my knowledge on the topic then come back and start writing. Just to see what I come up with. It sounds a bit messy, unnecessary and slightly dreadful but I believe I need to do this so I could prove myself something. I don’t know what I was want to prove but I’ll know when I’m done with it. (i hope) Side note I will takes notes on the side as I read.

The time is 5:29pm.

Lets me start with thinking of topics that I’m interested in. What am I interested in? What are… my, interests? I like to scrapbook. The thing with that is, it just happens in the moment. At least all my best ones come out when I know how I’m feeling. Okay, maybe something I don’t know enough of. Recently, I have been wondering why I keep hearing backlash on fast fashion? I mean, I’m sure it has to do with how some companies steal ideas from designers who have invested time into their work. I just feel like there has to be more.

Okay! Cons of Fast Fashion.

Its is now 7:46pm. I want to note that I came back at 6:22pm and wrote half the essay and mindlessly deleted it so after i raged out I decided to attempt it again.

Why People Should Steer Away From Shopping ‘Fast Fashion’

Growing up I never really had a sense of fashion. Well, when i was seven I really was rocking some fits. I had the barbie girl look, which was mostly my mother dressing me. During my pre-teen years I would get excited about new clothes but not because I was excited to shop. No, on the contraire I was just excited to have the new clothes feeling. As a kid it was rare that me and my siblings would get new garments. At least that’s how it felt because everyone at school got new clothes every weekend. I only went shopping every six months. I think that is a pretty decent time to go without buying new clothes. However, it seemed to me that in order for me to have a type of style I had to have whatever the shelf had in stock. My mom would wake me and my sisters extra early on weekends to go thrift around people’s neighborhoods, so I could thank my mom for getting me into thrifting before I knew what it meant. It wasn’t until I got to my last year of high school when my style really got influenced by girls in my class. I started to notice people would get creative with their clothes and would shop on my individual businesses. Online shopping has really impacted peoples overall shopping experience.

In the early 1800s, the fashion of the time was comfort and for the most part people had to root their own materials. Leather and wool had to be weaved and prepared for the making of the clothes, which meant they were very resistant garments. Let’s fast forward to 1919 when jumpsuit was designed to make parachuting more efficient. Jumpsuits have become very popular over the years with both men and women. The jumpsuit made it on Vouge in 1964, and took about a decade for the trend to fully blow up. Like most fashion trends in 60, 70, 80’s, they were set by magazines who had a new debut every month. Even then people would go through their clothes not nearly as fast as they do now. When did this escalate?

Store like H&M, Gap, and Forever21 are all considered fast fashion because they’ recreate designs from runways with cheaper fabrics, basically.

okay im going to post this UNFINISHED because I never finished it and tbh it was just a test sooo

sorry lol
