Ive seen this thursday before
The thing about a schedule or daily routine is that sometimes it doesn’t stay on schedule. Today, i totally slept in which is fine because, after taking a week off for my period I’m back to my daily hikes and yesterday’s hike tried to take me out.
I’m going to a new trail today. Stocker Corridor, my usual one is Kenneth Han. I’ve mostly gone to that one because i could easily walk it from where I stay. However, these have been pretty consistent so i got bored like week one, so i decided to attempt a new trail, if not every day at least a new one weekly.
Today, my friend is coming along with me. She called me this morning and told me she was doing the Culver Stairs with one of her girlfriends and if I wanted to join. I had this scheduled and I mentioned it to her and she was willing to try out this trail so it worked out. I don’t always have someone with me because everyone has different times that they’re available. I’m usually the one moving my day around to make it work with my friends, lately i’ve been attempting to be more stern on when my free time is. Time blocking is a challenging thing.
most hikes are five miles this one was funky because I ended up merging trila
I started watching the Warhol diaries the other day, and half way through the second episode I realized that I had already watched it. I continued to watch it. I remember the first time I watched it, it was the first time I had been exposed to Warhol. I had seen his work before at museums and heard his name thrown around in the art world but never really knew of him. After watching the series the first time I remember one of my old stylist that I managed asked me what my thoughts were on him, and I remember being like “I like his art” and he proceeded to tell me how controversial he was to the LGBT community and how he was a racist. Which seemed like a pretty aggressive statement because in the doc its wasn’t a major point. Why would they make it a point? I thought that later that day.
Watching it back there is a lot of it I maybe didn’t notice. I could see the controversy with him. In his diaries he has many contiversal thoughts. My final thought is that he was maybe exploiting artist towards the end of his career. I think the issue is that people expected him to be an achtivist artist of his time, but the sad truth is that he wasn’t. He produced the art work he could and that was it. He was not an activist, he was an artist of his time. One of, if not my , favorite of his time.
